Course Overview
DO380: Red Hat OpenShift Administration is a hands-on, lab-based course that teaches system administrators how to manage OpenShift clusters at scale to productively support a growing number of stakeholders, applications, and users. This course enables organizations to innovate faster by adopting containers as part of Digital Transformation initiatives. You will learn how to support a growing number of stakeholders, applications, and users to achieve large-scale deployments. Through hands-on labs, students will test the OpenShift cluster by deploying different types of applications.
This course is designed for Cluster engineers (systems administrators, cloud administrators, or cloud engineers) focused on planning, designing, and implementing production-grade OpenShift clusters. Cluster engineers require automation skills to scale their manpower to provision and manage an increasing population of clusters, applications, and users, at the same time ensuring these clusters remain in compliance with corporate standards. Site reliability engineers (SREs) focused on keeping OpenShift clusters and applications running without disruption. SREs are interested in troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues with OpenShift clusters and require automation skills to reduce the time to identify, diagnose, and remediate issues.
The Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration exam (EX380) tests the knowledge, skills, and ability to create, configure, and manage a cloud application platform using Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform. This exam is based on the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
RED HAT CERTIFIED SPECIALIST IN OPENSHIFT AUTOMATION AND INTEGRATION CERTIFICATION – EX380
Candidate will earn the certificate of ‘Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Automation and Integration’. Every candidate will have his own unique certification id and number which is globally accredited.
You should be able to demonstrate these skills:
- Automate OpenShift administration tasks using bash scripts and Ansible playbooks
- Deploy Kubernetes Operators and configure OpenShift cluster operators.
- Implement a GitOps workflow using containerized Jenkins to administer an OpenShift cluster
- Configure OpenShift with trusted TLS certificates for external access to cluster services and applications.
- Control access to resources on OpenShift.
- Configure and manage the OpenShift monitoring stack
- Deploy applications on OpenShift using Source-to-Image (S2I).
- Configure and manage OpenShift pods, services, routes, secrets, and other resources.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and remediate worker nodes in a variety of failure scenarios
- Move from Kubernetes to OpenShift
- Introduce automation on OpenShift
- Manage operators with OpenShift
